Van in Black has partnered with Edible Asheville for another series of epic farm tours. With this experience you will have a five-hour tour that celebrates the region’s beautiful fiber farms, where wool and fabric textiles are created for modern-day living.

Explore the region’s rich history of fiber farming and join us for a fascinating tour of a working sheep farm—where a local artist oversees everything from lambing and shearing to dyeing and spinning—as well as a hemp grower utilizing the plant for fabric. End your visit at a beautiful vineyard for a lunch of local food and good conversation.
This is a one-of-a-kind experience that will introduce you to the network of farmers who are producing our local textiles. From clothing to home goods, textiles form the foundation of our modern existence—and farmers are often at the center of it, raising the animals that provide wool and the plants that create durable and comfortable fabrics.
