This experience is a five-hour tour that explores the skills and strategies of life on North Carolina mountain farms and ends with lunch at a local vineyard. Description
Discover the adventure of daily farm life with a tour of two bustling farms that raise pigs, chickens, cows, goats and rabbits, as well as manage greenhouses, tend to outdoor gardens and grow fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers. After your visit to these farms — which will include time for Q&As for the budding homesteaders in your group — you’ll end your tour at a local vineyard for lunch and good conversation.
This is a great introductory tour for all local food lovers who want to develop a deeper appreciation for what it takes to sow, grow, raise, harvest and produce the food we enjoy.
